An important component of the retreat day is the opportunity for students to work in groups with volunteer high school leaders. High school leaders facilitate small group discussions, encourage participation, and act as positive role models.
To continue the positive effects of the retreat experience, we believe it's important for the entire community to be involved in supporting and communicating the messages delivered on the retreat. Therefore, we've provided this parent letter, to be sent out after the retreat, that includes an overview of the retreat and some discussion questions.
Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback on your recent retreat. We appreciate hearing perspectives from both the students and teachers who were involved or viewed the retreat. Your comments are taken seriously and they help us to develop better programs for you. You can have students take this survey online or print a PDF version to mail into Youth Frontiers. Please use the Windows & Mirrors DVD and online study guide that journeys the world through photography as a part of your effort to improve students' understanding of themselves and each other.
