Retreats are preferably held in a large, empty, carpeted room. This set-up provides a neutral location for the students, fewer distractions, and plenty of room for our very interactive programs. Student Leaders are a critical component of our retreats. They facilitate the small groups, help keep the students on task during large group activities, and provide a unique opportunity to mentor younger students in your community. We often hear from our Student Leaders that the day has been as beneficial to them as for the students on the retreat. Please contact the Youth Frontiers office at 1.888.992.0222 for this information, or you may check online.
NOTE: These numbers are for the students attending the retreat. Leaders do not count towards the number recommended on the retreats. We understand how busy educators are, and the desire for staff to complete work outside the retreat. We encourage teachers/staff be present the entire retreat to observe and experience for themselves the power of these programs. The retreat offers unique perspective and insight for both teachers and students about the school's climate. Faculty Programs:Yes. We provide a half-day Honor Retreat for faculty and staff to uplift and energize staff, and move them towards a common direction.
