At Youth Frontiers, we believe that keeping the values of kindness, courage and respect in our daily conversations will help us live out these values. Here are three opportunities for you to frame these conversations in your life:

Character Challenge

This weekly email/Facebook post/Tweet for students (12 and over please), parents and educators provides an activity or thought to help us think critically about kindness, courage and respect in our lives. It is a great discussion starter at the dinner table, at morning meeting in the classroom or for friends to discuss in the hallways between classes. Teachers can post them in their room or use it as a weekly announcement school wide. Parents can talk about them in the car or during family time. An example of a Character Challenge: Socrates said "Give me beauty in the inward soul; may the outward and inward man be at one." Why do you think it is so hard to just be ourselves? What are we scared of? What fears get in the way of us following our hearts, or as Socrates said, our inward soul? YF Educator

The YF Educator is a monthly e-newsletter for educators to help support and honor them in their critical work with young people. This newsletter includes brief and thoughtful resources, quotes and triggers to inspire and encourage them.

YouthFront

The YouthFront is our organizational newsletter with articles and resources about social-emotional character development and updates about Youth Frontiers programs and impact. Each issue includes a note from our Founder and CEO, Joe Cavanaugh. We encourage schools and other organizations to reprint Joe’s articles in their own newsletters. Call 952.922.0222 to get permission to reprint these articles. Click here to receive the YouthFront in your email box.
