2023 YF Leadership Luncheon

Join Youth Frontiers for a dynamic discussion about character-driven leadership and the future of our community.

The ancient Greek philosopher Heraclitus once said, “Character is destiny.” With our future as unpredictable — and our societal challenges as complex — as ever before, the leaders best equipped to bring about courageous and lasting change won’t just be driven. They’ll be character-driven.

On Wednesday, June 7, 2023 Youth Frontiers (YF) will host an essential conversation about character-driven leadership and the future of our community — and we want you around the table. Our event panelists — Claire Ferrara, President & Majority Owner of Standard Heating & Air Conditioning; Pat Sukhum, CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters Twin Cities; and Joe Cavanaugh, Founder & CEO of Youth Frontiers, Head of Leadership Frontiers — will discuss what it means to lead and to lead well in our community. Over a shared meal with a room full of local leaders, we’ll celebrate the power of bringing different voices together to speak the common language of character and explore the powerful, yet often overlooked idea that who you are is just as important as what you lead.

Please contact Riley Moynihan at rmoynihan@youthfrontiers.org if you would like information about sponsoring this event. Proceeds will help to fund YF’s character development work with 60,000 youth and adults this programmatic year.

Description:

This year’s conversation is an evolution of Youth Frontiers’ Ethical Leadership Luncheon (ELL) series. At its peak and 11th anniversary in December 2019, the ELL attracted more than 600 leaders and numerous corporate, individual and nonprofit sponsors.
As YF returns to producing community-wide, in-person events, we are re-imagining a luncheon that is future-forward, aligned with our expanding mission, and one that goes a layer deeper than ethics to get to the heart and soul of transformational leadership: character.

For 35 years, Youth Frontiers has been inspiring character, civility and community through our dynamic retreats, first for students, then for the important adults in their lives — the parents, educators and leaders who are shaping our shared world. On each of our programs, we equip youth and adults alike with the common language of character and challenge them to live with greater kindness, courage, curiosity and respect. Since 1987, we have reached more than 2 million people with our powerful programs.
