Principals, Superintendents, Administrators, Emerging Leaders
From an educator about the Presence Workshop:
Humanizing the Workplace
In our digital age, leaders can accomplish more than ever before. But in their busyness, they often neglect their most important job: to connect with people on a human level. This interactive and dynamic workshop shares practical tips on how
to be present with people and reminds school or district leaders to prioritize those they serve over the many tasks on their plate.
Creating “We” Solutions
Humble leaders know they don’t know it all. They seek input and advice from people with complementary strengths.
They are open to new ideas. They are aware of their weaknesses. Leaders will learn the key features of humility and learn to synthesize rather than silence the varied voices in their school or district. Leaders will leave this workshop with a renewed commitment to creating “we” not “me” solutions.
Following Your Vision
There are times leaders need to follow their vision and make an unpopular decision despite opposition. This takes courage. In this final workshop, leaders will learn the attributes of a courageous leader and discuss the challenges of leading with courage – especially when resistance emerges and the cost is great. They will leave this workshop with the tools they need to be successful in their next difficult
conversation or decision.
We recommend scheduling the Engagement Series throughout the year. For example, you could hold the Presence workshop in October, Humility in December and Courage in March.
LENGTH OF RETREAT
Each workshop is 2.5 hours long.
COST TO SCHOOLS
$760 per person for the series.
Please note that states outside of Minnesota will incur travel costs.
