Series Components
WELCOME MATERIALS
Upon hire, staff will receive weekly communication to build excitement and reduce anxiety during their class preparations. Welcome materials include giftcards, links to videos, etc. We’ll help make your teachers feel great about their job even before school starts.
ONBOARDING RETREAT
Welcome new educators to the best school/district in the state (yours!) and to the greatest profession in the world: education. This retreat includes music, mixers, small-group sharing, words of encouragement and Youth Frontiers’ signature blend of humor and heart.
IMPROV WORKSHOP
The ultimate goal of improvisation is freedom — freedom to make mistakes, to play, to trust your gut. Teachers will leave this interactive workshop more connected to their spontaneous selves and primed for the creative endeavors they will face in the classroom and in life.
SMALL-GROUP MEETINGS
Educators will come together for a series of three small-group meetings where they can connect on a personal level and discuss questions like: What led you to education? What values and strengths do you bring to your profession? How can you support each other?
FINAL CELEBRATION
Conclude your onboarding in “The Honor Room.” This experience includes fabulous food, words of inspiration and some of the best musical talent in the Twin Cities. Make your educators feel valued and excited for their careers and their place in your school/district.
